Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have completed a four-player trade deal ahead of IPL 2027. England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australia’s upcoming all-rounder Jack Edwards move to CSK, while fast bowlers Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis join SRH.

Liam Livingstone, who was bought by SRH last season for INR 13 crore, takes a pay cut to join CSK for INR 6 crore. The 33-year-old featured in just two games in IPL 2026, while Jack Edwards was ruled out of the entire season due to an injury.

Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed, who was previously part of SRH between 2018 and 2021, returns to the franchise from CSK at his existing fee of INR 4.8 crore. He played only five games for CSK in IPL 2026 before a right quadriceps injury ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Nathan Ellis, who missed the entire IPL 2026 season for CSK due to a right hamstring injury, moves to SRH at his existing fee of INR 2 crore.

It looks like CSK are interested in strengthening their all-rounder options, while SRH are keen to bolster their fast-bowling department.
