Renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, 37, joined LinkedIn today and shared his vision post on the platform.

His bio reads: “Professional Athlete at Indian Cricket Team | Co-Founder at one8world | Investor at Agilitas.”

As the co-founder of one8world, a sportswear brand, and an investor in Agilitas, a sportswear and athleisure company, Virat Kohli has a long-term vision of taking Indian brands to the global stage.

In his LinkedIn profile, he has highlighted his love for cricket, his commitment to fitness, and his vision of building brands that break new ground.

Here is what Kohli wrote about him on LinkedIn:

“The pitch has been my home for 18 years. Those 22 yards didn’t just shape my game, they made me everything I am today, and for that I owe the game more than I can ever give back.

Wearing the India jersey has been my greatest privilege. Being part of two World Cup victories and contributing to something far bigger than myself.

Sport demands more than just skill and that’s where my commitment to fitness began. And today in India, fitness has moved beyond high performance; it’s become a way of life for millions. With that comes a responsibility to help raise the standard of this very space in our country.

I have partnered with Agilitas as an investor and a believer in the vision to build India’s first vertically integrated sportswear powerhouse.

Together, we are building and co-creating one8world as a global high-performance sports brand from India with products engineered with the highest level of technical precision and innovation.

We stand to do what’s never been done in sport and in life.”

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network, with more than one billion members worldwide. With the platform offering opportunities to increase brand visibility and strengthen business connections, Kohli’s debut on LinkedIn makes sense.

Several other Indian cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Zaheer Khan, and Washington Sundar, are also on LinkedIn.
